Second Best Things could never change No matter how they were meant to be You twisted fate around Now she plays the part of me. Its all over and done with, I put it in the past. I was always told to deal with problems because perfect moments never last. you softly whisper in her ear, And take her by the hand You walk along the beach together Engraving your initials in the sand. "I love you forever We shall never part. Forever you will always complete A small peice in my heart." As I sit on the docks Watching in a daze Wondering just how jealousy Became one of my ways. It all began when I was "the one" And I "stood out from the rest" Now I have to live to learn That I am only second best. |

You are only what you let yourself be as true and for real as you want but if you could only just let yourself see that inside you have much to flaunt If it's just that easy to walk and find new a someone to fill that blank spot than he did'nt really deserve one like you and he's not the one you should want You're not second best if your out to be first you've only just run the wrong race cause fighters dont lose to be bound by a curse they keep fighting 'till they find their place. Girl, you'll never be second best when you find someone strong enough to run with you. Dont ever give up, just let yourself heal so you're that much stronger next time  Great job, beautiful imagery.Strive for higher levels, if they seem out of reach... Grow, and they will get closer. |
