In the space between moments

0 posted 2000-06-24 11:46 PM

The luster of Apollo's face
Streaks across the sky...
And falls upon a distant place
Where painted wings do fly...

Watercolors sweep the dawn
And flirt with silver seas...
Here on brilliant emerald lawns
Lives a dreamer's reverie...

Dipped within the golden dew
Shining butterflies dance...
Whispers drift with strength anew
As the risk of love is chanced...

...With a thought, our souls combine...

Sun rays fly as lips collide
And lust floods on velvet wings...
In your heart I do confide
While a jeweled horizon sings...

Twilight sprays a glittered breath
As our silhouettes do fall...
Shadowed doubt is put to death
When echoes of forever call...

I loose myself within your eyes
And pulsing bodies meld to one...
Here among the butterflies
Our legacy has just begun...

Wow Krista! What a unique way of comparing the heat of passion between two lovers to the carefree beauty of a butterfly.  This is outstanding, but then again, I've come to expect no less from a talented poet such as yourself.

"I loose myself within your eyes
and pulsing bodies melt to one...
here among the butterflies
our legacy has just begun"

Wow!

Take care,

Wow, Krista, this was great!  I loved  "Watercolors sweep the dawn", and the last verse, and well the two before it... and the first three too... but especially the last three!  This was great, I loved it sweetheart

Krista~

I almost missed this one... lol.  I go away for one day and you go and post a wonderful poem.  You just don't want me to read them I thinks... lol.  Great poem Krissa.  You always seem to make me quit breathing while I read them, they're so beautiful.

Krista~
Again you have captured such lovely phrases and woven them into a cocoon from which emerges the lovely butterfly.

'Twilight sprays a glittered breath
As our silhouettes do fall...
Shadowed doubt is put to death
When echoes of forever call...'

So pretty
