State of constant confusion!

There are things I cannot change
And some I'd never try
Things that are unexplainable
So we keep wond'ring why
Life doesn't always go
According to our plans
Maybe it's the hand of Fate
Making her demands

fate in all her guises comes knocking every day....do you tempt her or turn her away?

You're right Jeffrey, some things we can never change. That doesn't make fate any less a pain in the (uhmmm) neck though! Good poem... you make your point well.

Great poem Jeffrey.  Fate is funny at times.  Never know where you will end up.  Those demands cannot be ignored...ever.  Nice writing.

Jeff -
I really liked this piece.  I am always partial to poets who don't waste words.  This is concise and to the point and I love it.  This is an excellent poem.  I am quickly becoming a big fan of your work!

Jeffrey, a poem as distinctive as this surely needs a title. Wonderful writing!

Jeffery,
Nicely done ! In my opinion , this poem ( in it's brevity ) says more than quite a few that I've read ( or penned ).

Very well done Jeff.  Fate has cards it never wants to show.  We just have to play the cards we're dealt.
