Passions' Sands of Evermore

So many stand upon this sea
awash in waves of reverie
Our hands agrasp in kindred hold
with nightly cries to Heaven's fold

For inspiration's kiss, divine,
to move the pen another time
Enticing verses' vines to grow,
encircling poets' ink to flow

With words of wise and golden grace
and spray of life upon our face
We write in night to ocean's roll
of love and loss and torrents' toll

Of laughter, glee, and grief recalled
of moments passed and sorrows stalled
We share and soak in evening's tide
no need to feign or tears to hide

So send your voice into the sky
in midnight sea of lullaby
and join with souls upon the shore
in Passion's sands of evermore

Dear LadyClaire

Claire,
A work of wonder -- this should be the de facto anthem for our forums. Love the sea imagery. We really are unstoppable -- and maybe just a little eroding   -- like the tide.

~Claire~

No here you go again, writing yet another outstanding poem.  I have never before read poems by one person that had such a fire to them, such a uniqueness and such a wisdom to them as yours always does.  There are so many talented poets here and around the world, but there is just something about your style.  You are a breath of fresh air!  I always look for your nickname and always find beauty and universal truths.  I loved the title by the way.  And, Melissa stands green with envy

Take care,
Melissa Honeybee

Thank you ALL, so much. This one was such a pleasure to write, as it rather sums up how I feel about our lovely poetic haven, especially since returning from sabbatical. I didn't realize how much I would miss you all, this place, your poems...thank you, in earnest, for such heartwarming words.

Ooooh, how did this one slip through the net? I love it Claire   It made me think... yes, Passions really is a place that lets us all immortalise our words, even those of us who would otherwise never have dreampt of showing our poetry to another living soul.
