Where my heart is (for Judy)

From Blakes "satanic mills" I come,
Where industry first scarred this scepter'd Isle,
Innocent of "Camberley heavy with bells",
My pores seep coal and callouses of swarf,
My mudded boots entrenched, in cobble stones and slag,
But my heart ascends through caustic clouds cocoon,
To a distant shore,
'Cross mississippi's bright ribbon,
And on, through waving corns expanse,
To Her,
My field of Dreams,
A daughter of pioneers who work the land,
A son of steam and soot,
So different, so alike,
Our heritage of Plymouth Rock is found,
Our Future to be as one.

Olias~
I haven't read any of your work
before so I'm guessing Welcome to
Passions is in order. If not sorry
for my mistake. This was a really
interesting poem. It almost told like
a story. Liked the refreshing and
different style.
Take care.

Thankyou for commenting, This has been the most important piece I will ever write, its very hard to have a relationship when your 5000 miles apart but I love Judy with all that I am, and we both pray that one day we will be together.
Thankyou
Olias

This is beautiful Olias!  Wonderful imagery as you transcend the distance and move across to describe your lady love, really well done!

Best wishes,

this is wonderful writing, so many
cool descritive lines and imagery.
and the geographical references made it
very interesting
and added to your
point of long distance love.

Thank you ladies for your kind support, you are an oasis in my desert, and I'm overwhelmed by your generosity.

A big bear hug (they are the best)

What greater endearment than to be the object of a lovely poem such as this...beautiful, candid and moving, this.
