On Silent Tongue

Words,
How they linger...
Mingle with my thoughts.
An emotion I cannot express
Holds fast with my heart.

Watching you
Walk in and out my life,
Making me cling to these words...
Afraid to speak my mind,
Afraid of the return.

If only one day
I could release what I feel...
Make you see what is true,
But I cannot,
As my words fall in silence.

I know it's hard but it's the only answer, speak your mind and get it out. I know you may be afraid of losing what you already have but what do you have if you're not happy?? Very nice poem!

Long time no see Marie,

Great poem, the way you describe the fear of being alone (at least that's what I got from this) is truly astounding

Marie,

Great poem.  I hope that you find the words to let him know how you feel.  You may be surprised.  Best wishes to you!!

Ethome:
Nice thoughts, but this isn't personal...just a poem.  Thanks for reading and enjoying.

Jeffrey:
Yes, long time no see!  Thanks for your comment, but it's about being afraid to speak your mind.

JM:
Great sentiments as well.  Thanks you

Mike:
Thanks

Liz:
Wow...thanks for reading and your comment.  You know I htink you and Marge are awesome

LW:
Nice comment, but it's not a personal issue with me.    I always speak my mind...gets me in trouble, too.  Thanks!

Hi my twin
This was touching, lonely and sad. You have expressed in this how alot of us feel from time to time and our poetry is a way to help us to express the words we cannot actually come out and say...Well done sis

Mariee~
My this is just wonderful.
I've enjoyed so much of what you write.
Hope to see you here more hon.

The title drew me in and then
you 'spoke' the silence so well.
