He was a quiet man,
unassuming in act,
taciturn,
not prone to gregariousness.

He was a quiet man,
who fought life's battles,
demurely,
on his own.

He was a quiet man,
who found his voice,
surprisingly,
through quill and parchment.

He was a quiet man,
writing dreams of gods,
feverishly,
in his enduring solitude.

He was a quiet man,
whose thoughts and hopes,
thankfully,
will now last forever.

If you're working on you education - search out the poems by Nan - awesomely beautiful poetry, which often requires a refreshingly pleasing romp through a dictionary!< !signature-->

JP, I think this speaks well for all poets here, especially the men [sometimes we women think we own all of the quilled pens] so I would like to see you submit this for the book, please?

I will watch for it...so I may vote...

I enjoyed this...a flowing pen can certainly have a resounding voice, as yours does in this poem. Lovely writing, to be sure.

This is a beautiful poem. I love the idea of living forever through your work. Thank you for sharing this with us!

Per your request Sunshine, I have reset this one to be considered for "The Book"

Thanks for the kind thoughts y'all.
