my last few poems have been pretty depressing...
so while me and my stubborn muse work thru this bout
of writers block again...
heres a couple short reposts from open 6
to all who have E-mailed me to see if Im okay
I thank you and love you for your concern...
Im fine..I promise...
just need an inspired muse

~Little Miracles~

Sitting in a sunbeam, on the cool kitchen floor,
watching the sunset thru the open back door.
Soft breezes come in thru the tattered screen,
God's artistry paints the sky in a violet washed scene.
The stereo jams ... my body takes in the deep base,
the sunlight warms and tans my tear streaked face.
Within this fragile moment ... I discover the place, you exist in me.
The gift of this miracle ... for once, I am content to simply ... just be.
If I hold my breath ... can I make time mercifully stand still ...
Should I never move ... can I stop the arrival of until?

Janet Marie

~Sweet Elation~

Embraced in this moment, so perfect, so rare,
allowing myself this contentment, your gift to share.
Music plays softly, the sun is setting slow,
my body still tingling ... warmed by afterglow.
I can still hear you breathing, whispering my name ...
now that you've touched me like this, I'll never be the same.
For it is only in these moments, when lovers gently touch...
that elation and contentment, can be felt this much.
Wrap your body around me, put your lips on mine,
take me to that moment...when hearts and souls entwine.

Janet Marie

Janet, did you SAY your muse could take a vacation?   I'm glad to see these two poems...they were both so beautiful. I especially liked the second one--it was so sweet and loving. Thanks for sharing.

"Wrap your body around me, put your lips on mine.
take me to that moment ...when hearts and souls entwine."
Now there's a chorus for a song if I ever read one.

Woo hoo keep em comin!!!!!!

Oh, I really loved both of these poems Janet Marie ... your muse sure wasn't sleeping when you penned these!  Thanks for posting them!  And by the way, when I had a little block a while back, I ended up writing a poem "about" my muse ... seems to get the juices flowing again? She'll come back when she knows your talking about her behind her back

Best wishes,
/Kit

JanetMarie~
Muses are funny little creatures, huh?
Kick back and they'll come calling for sure.
These are really nice poems that you reposted.
Just keep reading ... you'll get that maniacal little muse jealous and she'll come back in a frenzy !

Jan,

I recall reading the first poem just after I joined Passions and this line still sticks out in my mind...

Within this fragile moment ... I discover the place, you exist in me.
The gift of this miracle ... for once, I am content to simply ... just be.

Now...for the second one....
Man, Oh, Man!!!!
Such beautiful emotions and sentiments in this one

You know, I have found a cure for writer's block...Just find yourself a co-writer and believe me....something they say will get those creative juices flowing once again

All my love,
Jeffrey

Ok so where did they take off to now??? My
Muse has left a "do not disturb" sign in her
wake~ I'm in favor of locking the little
imps up and forbidding anymore "vacations"
until we are ready to take one ourselves...
leaving them home to clean while we are gone

These touched my heart then and they
touch it now. Take care S.S. we shall write
again SOON

JM, these are two very gorgeous pieces, girl! And as for that wandering muse of yours, I'm sure she'll (or he'll?) return soon to send more flowing magic through your poet's pen.  In the meantime, I'll see if I can send a few floating thoughts from my muse to sustain you....now I need to track down that little bugger of mine....she's always hiding from me......again, beautiful poems!
