          A Lover's Kiss

When a kiss...
is whisper soft
When the release...
is an echo in the air
Hearts and minds...
are sent aloft
With the privacy...
of all to share

When a touch...
turns an embrace
When a word...
is put forth by gaze
Loyalty and trust...
meet face to face
With thunderous power...
sent to amaze

When two hands...
together are held
When lonely arms...
are set to entwine
Two become one...
as they begin to meld
With the purity...
of a rare wine

You must realize...
the power that looms
Encasing a gift...
such as this
Hold close each minute...
as it is set to bloom
Always ready for the torment...
of a lover's kiss

Mark,
Great poem! I think that it symbolizes the unity and strength of two people unified. Keep on writing.

No doubt about it, there is a power that looms but we all want that gift.
Very well done!

this was quite beautiful! nothing
quite like a lover's kiss   you write
with quite a flare! welcome to passions.
it's a pleasure to "meet" you. i look
forward to reading more from you.
take care.
