Earth 3rd Rock from the sun!!

peace comes at last for you
through the darkness
I see you
face hidden
moving closer
I do not know you
should I?
what are you doing here?
when for so many years
you were not near?
speak to me in gentle whispers
trying to explain
from your grave
you scream to me
"please don't be afraid"
I shut my ears to you
turn off the sound
your voice is haunting me
still angry
afraid
feeling betrayed
yet wondering why?
how?
where were you then?
where are you now?
never watched me grow
now you'll never know
Daddy how I missed you so!!

Julie :)

Hi Julie Ann. This made me extremely sad, I could feel the hurt all through the whole poem. I'm glad you are writing from the heart it can help so much. Very well done!

It seems that you have gone through some terrible times.  Writing does help for some.     Stay strong, and Great Poem.

~Julie
this poem was very sad and moved
me greatly. i am sorry for the troubles
you had with your dad. i hope you
can find a way to heal, perhaps writing
will be that avenue for you.
take care.

The pain is evident and the feelings straight from your heart.  Sorry life has given you this ordeal, but writing about it will help and it will touch many souls to whom share experiences such as this.  Thank you for the avenue and the honesty to your soul.  I will cherish the memory of this one for eternity.
