A sweet butterfly trilogy complete,
With abundant energy and mood buoyant,
A summer evening endearingly greets,
Pepped up, my soul become flippant.

I sat upon the same Sunday park bench,
where morning beauties had stolen my heart,
On a look out for new subjects, to quench,
this upstart poet's thirst for a new start.

Envigorated to the heights by generous acts
Of passionate friends throwing lavish praise,
I think that its high time to dwell upon a fact,
thats its time to repay some debt, rest my case.

Thank you my friends for always being there,
For your kind words, your solemn support,
This is my family, my second home is here,
My heart is touched, this I had to report.

~~~
With all my heart, Thank You...
For making me a part of your family...
Thank You...for everything...
Thank You...
No matter where we go in our lives, what we do, we are always going to be a family. Look up under the Login link at the upper right of this screen. THAT is our motto, our mission, our goal:
"A home without a wall,
Our haven without ends,
A circle we all call
Our Family of Friends!"
We are so glad you call you family!
It's my second home too, Sudhir...but I must disagree with that upstart poet comment...you do write very well, and I don't stand for comments like that from my family!
It is you, Sudhir, Who has been an inspiration to all of us, especially to me. Your talents in prose writing as well as poetry is obvious, but you bring us a distinct new style, a sensitivity to all around you, a strong compassion, a good heart, and best of all you share this all so eloquently with us. You have been an influence on me and I'm sure on others as well, and may beautiful words continue to flow from you pen and from your extraordinary mind. And this poem is lovely
Thank you
Sudhir, I am sad to see the end of your butterfly series, but as they say all good things must come to an end. I look forward as always to your next posting. I think Elizabeth said it best, I agree 100% with her. I am honoured to be in the presence of a great poet and a master of his craft.
So elegantly penned Sudhir ... as is proven to be your incredibly wonderful style.  I fear we're quite addicted here, but its so easy to do amongst such a wonderful community of compassionate souls.  I heartily agree with your sentiments, and thank "you" as well, for all of your touching responses.  Glad you posted this Sudhir!          (I must apologize too if I've missed responding to any recent poems ... I've missed reading MANY wonderful poems I'm sure, as my schedules been a little crazy of late ... hope to catch up and move forth with gusto!)
Best wishes and thanks right back at ya,
/Kit
This was wonderful.
(love the butterfly, Janet Marie)
I believe this speaks for myself and everyone, its a place where you can post your poetry, sit back, knowing that if someone truly dislikes it, they won't reply brashly, if they love it, they tell you, pure and simple.
it's a place where you can feel free to express yourself without a list of rules, we all try, and we all should learn, but here, you can write...freely and boy that means a lot sometimes
