A butterfly said to me, come lets fly...into the sky...high...

Butterfly Thoughts - III
--------------------------------

O Majestic Queen of the sky,
O beautiful lovely butterfly!
Keeper of many secrets of nature,
Holder of many a question's answer!

Colour my canvas, my butterfly,
Touch my heart before I die -
Show me how to live in joy,
And how, never to say good-bye.

As you flutter by, I let out a sigh,
Things missed because I never tried,
With patient hard struggle to be free,
You turned your life around just to show me.

On serene wings of your beauty I can rely,
Oh! What celestial magic you do supply.
Amazing, my jewel, how you heard my plea,
Entrapped in my soul, I feel your beauty.

Let's fly together, two souls as one,
And soar beyond time, to faraway horizon,
With silken wings that God has spun,
Souls entwined, an infinite journey has begun...

Butterflies in India are spectacular indeed...only pity is that I am here in belgium imagining what goes on in India...but when I had been off relaxing in a park in brussels, I saw a few butterflies and wanted to talk to them, and no, I was not high on anything not even caffeine that morning....

yes, I also think butterflies are meant to be free, but then why can't a butterfly and me be friends...its a butterfly reflection thats trapped in me and I want to fly away with a butterfly friend...now that is fair is it not?

Thanks for reading and for your WOW, Janet, you are very kind....

regards, sudhir

the spirit of the butterfly lives in your words, its playfullness, its beauty its splendour and grace. wonderful.

Leaving for noon break, I espied
a butterfly that caught my eye
and then I thought of you
see what magic you can do?

"Let's fly together, two souls as one,
And soar beyond time, to faraway horizon,
With silken wings that God has spun,
Souls entwined, an infinite journey has begun..."

this says it all.  Well done, good Sir!
