Somewhere in the vast wasteland

0 posted 2000-06-21 04:05 AM

Now I tell you a tale
Of something that will not fail
Though you may have doubts
Others know nothing about

Long,long ago
Deep within my soul
My life, yet to flow
Your heart did I pull

Out of the cosmic hat
Our hearts did chat
I found who was to be mine
Till the end of time

Born to this earth
Without the slightest hint
Of what would be our worth
Until our eyes met

Now I sit back and wonder
How I let it go under
Our lives are now separate
All because I was desparate

I never wanted to hurt you
Never to cross those lines
So I ran from you
I believed my lies

I told myself it was for the best
But that has failed time's test
Now I sit in my lament
Knowing we were always meant

Some cruel twist of fate
Has brought this to me
Once again too late
Will I ever be free

This torment will not end
Unless we begin again

This is my comeback poem.  I have been gone for a while.  I am back now and writing  .  I have missed you all.

And what a comeback!
This poem really touched me.
It will touch anyone who has loved and lost.
I hope you find happiness soon.

Love is like the measles.....the older you are, the harder it hits you!

My friend you get me everytime!!

Words that touch
All the way under
Deep within my soul
Long ago trapped
By your eloquence
So intrusive to me
Smoothness so sweet
Tormented by your way
So familar, so real
Unable to explain
Knowledge lay away
This is the key
Upside down
Inside out
Turned around
Mirror image
Of that love lost
Impossible to see
All the same really
Another time far away
Everything shall be complete

Your writing just seems to get better and better!!  Very nice piece!!

Welcome back to Passions!!

Thanks for the story Scorched Dragon. It's not an unheard story but it's amazing how many soulful ways it can be presented and take on a different point of view everytime.
Well done!
