(Rap in the background please!)

They made me wear some baggy jeans
Told me they don’t have poetry queens
That it’s time that teens got their place
At the top of the human race

Down here in this dungeon dreary
Listening to Rap, I get so weary
Waiting for the rescue team
Taking forever so it would seem

They feed me chips and Mountain Dew
I’ve got a window without a view
Music blaring, now I can jive
Never felt so totally alive

I hope the rescue takes some time
‘cause this is cool…way sublime!
Being a teen can be so simple
Oh my God! Is that a pimple!!

Please read the post by Alwye and Lovebug in the Teen Forum for an explanation! Seems there's a rebellion in the ranks. I have been taken hostage and they are trying (with some success I might add) to brainwash me!

Please send $10,000.00 in small bills to Dusk Treader!

Will a small bill clinton (from the early days) do???   j/k

Well, so many dollars would make my neighbours go bankrupt (I will have to steal from them for you, you see   )

So for the time being be nice and behave well, we will soon try and arrange the sum... if we don't manage to, remember we have always loved you....

laffing like a crazy maniac....
...

nice poem here by the way, before I lose it all...I must run

da da da boom, da da da boom...

PDV's in a quandry
of her own quiet makin'
she took off for Teen Po-try
left us in our boots, quaking...

wrapped in rap, now wants out
asking for ransom, what it's about...
money we'd send, just for her?
there's somethin' up, not quite sure...

is she worth it, can we tell?
or should we let her sit a spell?
As an adult, she should've known
and never strayed from her home...

da da da boom, da da da boom...

if she'sa having, so much fun
I'd say leave her there...then run!

But we won't stop with PDV
So all adults, be afraid
With each new hostage we capture...
A new N'SYNC song shall be played!!!

I can get you Brittney SPears (head on a plate), that should be worth some money.

Well I have an Irish £5 note in my pocket and with exchange rates it is about $1,000,000,000 dollars, though you will most of that due to the exchange rate and it will be worth about $1.10

Don't worry poet Devine I will call Mc Gyver he will know what to do. Kids hand back poet devine or Mc Gyver will get you. Here is hoping they were in nappies when Mc Gyver was on the tv.

Andrew Scott, Crayon King of the Stute
Took a collection from all my 'Stuter kind
I've come to your rescue with a bag of loot
Now lets take a look and see what we can find

From me a virgin pack of rainbow colors
Lady in Red sends you her very best
From Pablo some paper painted dollars
Doc Moose gives you his bullet ridden orange vest.

Jeannie threw in a slightly used vase
Nurse Crachet a certificate for one free shock
Justin Thyme threw is his brother Justin Kase
And three Cuban cigars from the Freudian Doc

The Wicked Witch sent this old broom
Vincent added his favorite ear
One Flew Over gave padding from his room
And Ian Dog European a gift from the rear
(… how I hope its plastic)

You know, some of these things are quite priceless
Worth far more than ten thousand K
Say P.D… you sure you're worth this?
Perhaps it's best that you just stay.

Hmmmm, say Justin Kase… you need any air holes in this bag?  Justin? Yoohoo Justin!  You awake in there?  Woo Nelly!… I don't think that was plastic after all.

Mcgyver is coming, sheesh, who's he?
Well, whoever he is, it is no matter
Because us teens armed with our talent
Will send all opposers 'a scatter!

Ms. deVine, she's lovin the rap
And she's a beggin for NSYNC
But we won't let her have the music
Until at Brittany she winks!

*rubs hands together, plotting*

Who is next to be in our grasp?
Munda, Brian, or Ron the big cheese?
Wait, I know who the teens shall take!
JANET MARIE IS THE ONE WE WILL SIEZE!!!!!!!!!

*LoveBug and Dusk grab Janet Marie while Alwye laughs insanely and NSYNC sings "Bye Bye Bye" somewhere in the backround*

Macgyver sure maybe fine,
But see the teens forces have combined.
We the special, the force,
Have taken Poet Devine and Janet Marie - looks like it can't get much worse.

So we're still waiting for cash,
Poet Devine is begging to see just one episode of M*A*S*H,
But if cash doesn't come soon,
She'll be watching Dawsons Creek and Felicity - just to name some.

** just a note from your friends in the teen forum **

Love,

Sorry to hear about your current situation poetDeVine especially the Britney Spears & N'SYNC part. May God have mercy on your soul.
Currently there is a music swat team working on the sound waves surrounding the teen forum
Within minutes there should be infused into the entire forum 32 hrs. of Tiny Tim's "Tip Toe Through The Tulips" at a predetermined 110 decibels which can not be unlocked under any circumstances. We realize that this will kill you too, but think of the supreme sacrifice you will have paid to save the rest of us from these wild spastic monsters. We will write fine verse in you honor -= thick and fast they will come at last. Thank you for being such a hero!!!!!!

Members of passion check out the prose section under Pdv's post, I have posted a plan that might just work, it revolves around cheesy 80's tv programs. If anyone remembers any other tv series please tell me. It may save PDV's life. When we catch these teen's we are going to lock them in a room and play every Duke's of Hazard episode in row for 3 weeks. If worse comes to worse we may have to call in Bruce ward and Adam West of the 60's batman tv series. HOLY MACKEREL

LOL! Tiny Tim! That's a war crime just waiting to happen!  I say we hit those youngins with some good old fashion Stones! That'll teach em to mess with our most deVine one.  While we're at... how about some Fab Four... Mojo Risin... and 10CC's of CCR.  That should throw 'em into a real tizzy.  And to really keep 'em off balance let's toss in some John Coltrane.  NOW THAT'S WAR!

You have to be careful throwing the Stones and The Beatles at them because the majority of them love those guys. But what about 24 hrs of Bill Clinton playing a sax solo. That'll teach those little overbearing word demons. I bet they are chewing up poor Poet de Vine just like pac men/women. Maybe it's time to contact Dateline????

Andrew the sad tomato is tough, get out your guns if you are going to save the DeVine one.
I still think that Tiny Tim was the answer. What about Bobby McFerron doing Britney that'd ness em up. What about Willie Nelson doing N'SYNC how'd they like that?!?!

Aaaaaah ... love this ... hopping from forum to forum trying to keep up with your plight Poet deVine!!!

OK ... trying to help here ... I placed a call in to David Hasselhof.  As his "personal vehicle" from Knight Rider ... you'd think he'd give me a little courtesy of returning my call, but his secretary said he's been on vacation, running around on some beach somewhere!  Heck, I did most of the rescuing on the show anyway ... anybody care to take the wheel? We can spin on over and come up with a plan!

Best wishes,
KIT

Everything you've mentioned I grew up with . . . CCR is constantly played at my house and I saw Fraggle Rock just the other day. Hahaha  nice try
Now a story in verse:
So the sad tomato has joined our ranks,
Respectfully I bow my head and say many thanks.
I think we're winning the war,
Since some of the stuff they're using, some of them haven't seen before.

Show they're getting desperate for some aid,
Bet they're sorry they stayed.
So I gleefully watch the events unfold,
Time to turn on Ricky Martin I'm told . . .

Hahaha **Lauging gleffully **

Love,
Crystal

Superman(aka Chris) has rescued me - please see the Prose forum! But I'm leery of him... if he is offered the title of King of Prose, the teens will have him on their side. Methinks I must have an alternate plan. So later, I am going to sneak out and hide in the CA forum!!! I'll be well protected there! Dare you all to  join me!!!!

I thought you were a young thing!     All those things you just named off - well, most of them went way over MY head, and I'm old!  LOL  (27)  Yikes, this is really scarey, so I'm gonna go!  Take it easy PdV, don't count on any help from me!  I'll be hangin in Adult, while you're tied up, K?

Ok, if Happy Days and Laverne & Shirley won't get 'em, let's hearken back to all of the B&W shows ever created...especially old re-runs of B&W wrestling...would that turn them off, or on?  PdV, you're in the "driver's seat" [so to speak...he he...] what'd'ya think?

Poet, I'd love to help, but in American dollars?
All I have are these worthless Canadian bills.
They are pretty though.
I could scrounge up about a half a million in Canadian Tire money.  Would that help?
Wait, I'll call the Mounties.  They must be able to do something what with all of the pepper spray they use on the teens here.
Where did I put that number...

My Lady...The question asked... Just how old am I? Old enough to know better and still young enough to sometimes not care.  Carbon dating me by means of musical taste could place me anywhere from 60 to a newborn.  Let us just say I'm old enough to have enjoyed the original run of the Monkeys and to have a crush on Sandra Day of the Partridge Family... To dig Led Zep's Stairway the first time around and too have really appreciated the hey day of album rock.  Yet, to young to have really lived the 60's experience. Also young enough to enjoy bands like Blink 182, No Doubt, Hole... etc.  And I won't even bring in the fact that I love jazz and blues.  So go figure... I like to think my heart and mind are younger than this collection of body parts.  Thanks for shaving a decade off reality.

Now... back to problem at hand.  The deVine one has been recaptured and "Superman" Chris is down for the count.  These punks seem to be immune to just about everything pop culture... I think too much Pokeman and Rescue Rangers has anesthetized their brains.  I say we start playing Wagner, Brahms, Beethoven… Hooked on the Classics!  Hmmmm… or how about some old Broadway show tunes like My Fair Lady, Oklahoma, and Hello Dolly!  That should leave them cringing in their pajamas.  Heck!  Those show tunes even scare me!  Time to bring out the big guns!  Let's see… where are those 78's I had laying around?

Andrew, some scarey looking men are hanging around the Stute saying they have rights to Juliet. You disappeared and she's scared out of her wits, what kind of fiance are you anyway? Maybe I need to take her away so she's safe from them and you! Later

Hey Sunshine... how about a quarter to a t-bone steak?  That's where the big money is. DeVine One... I'm sorry but I must run to my Lady Red at the 'Stute and deal with these two brutes.  I hope you enjoy the sounds of Annie.

One last note to Chris... might I suggest a can of Raid be used on those Bug Lovers... the new lemony fresh scented kind.

Will you really play the stones and 10cc as i think they're great, I haven't decided which side to side with, as i am still a teen myself yet don't consider myself one, do your worst and until the T,E,E,N,S(Tactical,Evil,Educated,Nurotic,Soldiers) Stop playing Britney spears, i'd rather be on your side and get captured and ransomed . ( Not that they'd want much for me as I am worthless ) - That gives me an idea ... hmmmmmmmmm .... That might just work, I'm on my way PDV and JM etc ...
Loved the poem .
