All it takes is a butterfly to arouse these thoughts.

Butterfly Thoughts - I

Butterfly, butterfly, my dear butterfly,
Fluttering into early morning sky, you fly
Hopping around from one flower to another,
Kisses from each petal you score; no bother

Bedecked in vibrant colours, O coloured one,
Pretty winged, you are such a sweet thing -
To catch you, to hold you, little children run,
And you give them a dodge, spreading bright wings

Please stay a while, my dear butterfly,
Oh, stay! Please stay pretty butterfly,
Rest your body - calm your restless soul,
For that little while, be my friend and guard my soul.

Please share with me the bright summer sun,
And cool foliage green, born in the spring,
O dear butterfly! Let's have some frolic and fun,
Then if you wish, fly away flapping pretty wings.

Sudhir, I love to watch butterflies float carelessly on the breeze, light nad beautiful. You reflected the nature of the butterfly perfectly in your poem. excellent, i am off to read your second part.
