Forgetting You Just when I thought I could forget you squeeze you into that tiny dark corner push you out of my troubled mind The phone rings you say hello and whisper those words that shatter my defenses "I miss you, baby." Those familiar tiny shivers explode down my spine my heartbeat quickens as my cheeks grow warm Damn you and the effect you have on me! I never said I wanted to feel this way! Set my heart free from your intoxicating grasp! My tortured soul is weary of all this confusion! Don't you see my agony? Can't you feel my pain? My heart is crying "Yes!" My mind is screaming "No!" Just when I thought I could forget you close my eyes to your mind guard my world from your soul You smile at me caress my face lightly and when I ask of your thoughts your simply answer softly "Just enjoying you, baby." That smile of yours can melt the coldest of hearts that voice you posess can sway the most stubborn mind Damn you and these emotions you have stirred in me! I never said my heart was open to feeling this way! The reality is knocking from my front door but the fantasy is beckoning from the other forgotten room The urge to touch you has become too heart-wrenching to resist Your breath on my ear reveals the ecstasy of insanity Just when I thought I could forget you I come to the conclusion-- forgetting you is no longer an option. |
