~Sweet Surrender~
Amy M. Kennedy

No more questions of when and why
The only sound my heart makes now is a contented sigh
Sweet surrender is what I give to you
Lift my head to the heavens, smiling as I do

Your love has provided this old soul some peace
And the heartache I've experienced in the past has come to a cease
I give you all my love, open and free
And with you forever is where I want to be

All I ask is for you to be honest and true
I'll never ask anything more from you
I am the desert and you are the rain
Our lives having touched, we'll never be the same

When we are apart, just close your eyes
And in an instant, I'll be by your side
No matter where I go, no matter what I do
Today, forever, and always I will love and cherish you

Crash And Burn
Savage Garden
chorus
~dedicated to my sweetheart~

"Let me be the one you call
If you jump I'll break your fall
Lift you up and fly away with you into the night
If you need to fall apart
I can mend a broken heart
If you need to crash then crash and burn
You're not alone"

< !signature-->

"Don't be dismayed at goodbyes. A farewell is before you can meet again. And meeting again after a moment or a lifetime is certain for those who are friends."

"Fate exists but it can only take you so far,
Because once you're there
It's up to you to make it happen."

Amy~
This is so tender and beautiful, you have a
gift to weave the most romantic feelings...I
wish I could do what you do with words of
love!!  But I'm thankful that you share them
so I feel them for a moment~

Amy, this is great!!  To have that kind of love is truly a blessing...or in my case, to dream about that kind of love.     But, you expressed it so beautifully here.  Thank you for sharing a lovely piece.  I get excited every time you pen something new because I always know it will be something that touches my heart.

for amy and her "love"....

Sweet Surrender~
Sarah McLachlan

It doesn't mean much
it doesn't mean anything at all
the life I've left behind me
is a cold room
I've crossed the last line
from where I can't return
where every step I took in faith
betrayed me
and led me from my home

And sweet
sweet surrender
is all that I have to give

You take me in
no questions asked
you strip away the ugliness
that surrounds me
are you an angel
am I already that gone
I only hope
that I won't disappoint you
when I'm down here
on my knees

And sweet
sweet
sweet surrender
is all that I have to give

Sweet
sweet
sweet surrender
is all that I have to give

And I don't understand
by the touch of your hand
I would be the one to fall

I miss the little things
oh I miss everything

It doesn't mean much
it doesn't mean anything at all
the life I left behind me
is a cold room.
