She leaves me
   breathless, pale-glowing
      her light shines over and
   around me

      I am stone
        of morbid concretion
  in a body, frozen
     and inarticulate

dazzled,
  into the silence
      I stare,
        and waver
  beneath the dark
          veil of night

where giddy stars
      resemble coloured
           fairy lights electrified

      sighing....
           I gaze upon her.

wow what a cool poem
love your format and presentation
and the impact of the emotions are perfect
great writing
jm

It's amazing
How you make your face just like a wall
How you take your heart and turn it off
How I turn my head and you lose it all ...
And it's unnerving
(How one move just puts me by myself)
There you go just trusting someone else
(Now I know I put us both through hell) ...
I'm not sayin
That there was nothing wrong
(I just didn't think you'd ever get tired of me)
And I'm not sayin
(We ever had the right to hold on)
(I just didn't wanna let you get away from me)
~MB20~

She says baby,
It's 3AM ... I must be lonely,
When she says baby,
Well I can't help but be scared of it all sometimes,
Says the rains gonna wash away I believe it.

Ah! Such is the splendor of the eve. But my soul doth cry,"Who is the one which gazes upon her dark beauty?"

Mystified,
^_^ Amanda

Shall I compare thee to a summer's day? Thou art more lovely and more temperate, Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May, And summer's lease hath all too short a date. Sometimes too hot the eye of heaven shines, And often is his gold complexion dimmed; And every fair from fair sometimes declines, By chance or nature's changing course, untrimmed. But thy eternal summer shall not fade, Nor lose possession of that fair thou ow'st; Nor shall death brag thou wand'rest in his shade, When in eternal lines to time thou grow'st.
So long as men can breathe or eyes can see,
So long lives this, and this gives life to thee.
William Shakespeare
