The Ark of God

as sun rests, a veil clears
though we can see,
we do not behold,
and ancient knowledge remains

the quiet comes, and the sound is there
though it speaks to us
we do not hear
and yet our hearts hear the old truth

darkness comes, and it brings us light
though it shines our way
we stumble on the path
and yet the signs brightly show the way

night shines, to give us wisdom
and we are not alone
in the cradle of heaven
On the Ark of God

James Parker Haley  ©Dec 20, 1999

** this is the first poem I posted at passions,
and certain thoughts struck me that we may
still be on the Ark (Earth) and still looking for
that landing in the vast ocean of heaven.

I am glad that reposted this one.  You know my thoughts on this poem. I love the depth of the meaning and the thoughts it provocks. Your intellect shows well here.

Like this, Park, had not seen it before. Thanks for sharing it with us.  Perhaps we aren't meant to actually see and hear it, but to perceive it.

beautiful thoughts parker
jm

It's amazing
How you make your face just like a wall
How you take your heart and turn it off
How I turn my head and you lose it all ...
And it's unnerving
(How one move just puts me by myself)
There you go just trusting someone else
(Now I know I put us both through hell) ...
I'm not sayin
That there was nothing wrong
(I just didn't think you'd ever get tired of me)
And I'm not sayin
(We ever had the right to hold on)
(I just didn't wanna let you get away from me)

She says baby,
It's 3AM ... I must be lonely,
When she says baby,
Well I can't help but be scared of it all sometimes,
Says the rains gonna wash away I believe it.

Parker*
This is a beautiful weave, thank you for reposting I had not had the pleasure of reading it before.  "The Ark of God"...I had
never thought of it that way before...but
it is a perfect description.

Marina, thank you, yes it is.

Corinne, too many mysteries in this life, not enough answers.

Janet, thank you.

Butterflies, thank you for that.
