Inside my heart the battle rages on
You would think by now the feelings would be gone
They just do not seem capable of dying
Even though I have caught you in lying

My heart still cares for you
I know that will always be true
It also still feels your love
Like a ray of sun sent from above

A little here a little there
A display of tenderness so rare
In between flashes of anger
An oasis from the impending danger

If we could only capture that feeling
Lightning in a bottle we'd be stealing
No longer would we hear the thunder
That warns me of the spell you're under

All I ask is that you open your mind
I know you have been more than kind
Please allow your heart to feel
So we will know if this is real

Sea...here have a tissue for the tears.  It is what is in my heart.  I deal with it by writing.  I know I do.  Thank you.

WOW...
LW this is perfect!!
and one of your strongest pieces of work..
you have totally captured the confusion and
pain of a relationship  that is at these crossroads...
as i was reading your aching words ...
i was reminded of that old cliche'
"theres a fine line between love and hate"...
finding our balance to walk that line is the hard part..
I know..you know...wish we didnt know..
but always...lessons learned
keep healing in your writing...
with each verse you get stronger

It's amazing
How you make your face just like a wall
How you take your heart and turn it off
How I turn my head and you lose it all ...
And it's unnerving
(How one move just puts me by myself)
There you go just trusting someone else
(Now I know I put us both through hell) ...
I'm not sayin
That there was nothing wrong
(I just didn't think you'd ever get tired of me)
And I'm not sayin
(We ever had the right to hold on)
(I just didn't wanna let you get away from me)

It's 3AM ... I must be lonely,
When she says baby,
Well I can't help but be scared of it all sometimes,
Says the rains gonna wash away I believe it.

LoneWolf~

well my friend you've done it again!
Touched my heart and soul ever so deeply.
This is one of my favourite pieces by you.
Such emotion you have weaved into this.
You write your heart, we read and are
touched. I hope the writing is helping
you to heal. I pray that it is. Take care.

JM....Thank you very much for the kind reply.  Yes, there is a very fine line there...hard one to walk at times.  The crossroads are not an easy place to be, but they are necessary.  There are many lessons and always healing.  Later-special-gator.

Paula....Thanks and it is better to have loved and lost then to never have loved at all.

Vandana....Thank you!

Amy....Thank you for the compliment my friend.  The writing does help...it is my outlet.  Happy to touch your special heart.  Hope the words help you.  Take care.

netswan....Thanks and yes, the books threw me at first!!

Lone wolf, a very powerful poem.

If we could only capture that feeling
Lightning in a bottle we'd be stealing
No longer would we hear the thunder
That warns me of the spell you're under

All I ask is that you open your mind
I know you have been more than kind
Please allow your heart to feel
So we will know if this is real

a very emotional poem, I hope the storm clears and that a rainbow graces your love instead of dark clouds. wonderfully written.
