The blues have gone...
they went last night
whisked away by pen and mail
words I believe
and thought were right

On waking this morning
I smiled at the sun
tipped out of bed
saw the paper on the floor
oh my, what have I done...

12 hours on and still unread
my heart is light and free
spoke the truth no reservations
wipers working in the night
cause once again I'm back to me

We bandy words back and forth
until our eyeballs race
so many different ways to read
that rely on how we think
1 year on and finally

there's a smile on my face...

Great piece Rainbow...nicely written.
(also, glad to know your not blue anymore...but what would a rainbow be without all of her colors???)

RainbowGirl,

This was wonderful.  What strength you show.  As they saying goes...the truth will set you free.  Happy to hear that is true.  Sounds like the smile was a long time coming.  Good for you.

I KNEW the sky was a little brighter this morning! I thought it was that borealus thingy or something...and all the while it was your smile from way over there! I'm glad, Rainbow. When you're smiling the world is definitely a brighter place

Rainbow,

You are one of the ones I missed while being away sooo long!!  I am glad to see you are still around!!  What a happy piece!!  I agree what would rainbows be without ALL their colors???  As always I likes this!!

Ooops...I've got into this dreadful habit of writing my heart out in here and then ending up feeling a bit damp....

I do read the replies but sometimes I just don't know what to say, except the road has been long and the journey a tough one but I've always been one for taking the unknown path and finding some good in it and the good is that the sun still shines whatever the weather!

and the strange thing is I put the radio on for the first time this evening and just heard that Eva Cassidy (disceased) will be the subject of a 2 hour show on Saturday....just my flipping luck...why do memories come and hit you right where it hurts!

Thanks all

HUGS
