early morning sun
castbackward shadows
wrinklesurfaced pool

washed out gray streets
cars wait, chasing
colored lights on posts

my birthplace is new hampshire
i wear sunlight here in morning
like a shoot outgrown its soil

did you move? i did move
i found a way to write
poetry the way i live

i love the afternoons

did you move? i did move
did you cry? i didn't see
i was looking at those cypress trees

long, in green rows like giants' teeth
imagine if you were a bird hopping
above their gums in the wind

you wouldn't need to fly

are you still praying for rain?
an end to old pain?
that won't come with a storm

a single harm in the darkness
handset cord looped, shining
which dreams should the words reject to stain?

she won't be my bane

god, the way i wore solace
loneliness is not a pain, a change
a chance to recover your will

god, the way i wore sorrow
god, the way i wore bleeding
god, the way i wore tomorrow

i'll walk on the wet pressed sand shore
right near the moving, overlapping ribbons
(of water, sunlight made foam)

california roam

Perfect...man o man, love the follow-up--tho it didn't feel like a linear sequel as much as a companion piece (did that make sense?)
book-ends, y'know?  Or rather, TWO main courses...e ya later...smiling hugs, m'friend...

It's amazing
How you make your face just like a wall
How you take your heart and turn it off
How I turn my head and you lose it all ...
And it's unnerving
(How one move just puts me by myself)
There you go just trusting someone else
(Now I know I put us both through hell) ...
I'm not sayin
That there was nothing wrong
(I just didn't think you'd ever get tired of me)
And I'm not sayin
(We ever had the right to hold on)
(I just didn't wanna let you get away from me)

She says baby,
It's 3AM ... I must be lonely,
When she says baby,
Well I can't help but be scared of it all sometimes,
Says the rains gonna wash away I believe it.

Glad you both enjoyed.

Butterfly Slippers,
Happy belated birthday.

And brian,
If you want to see part one, it's still in the system -- at least I hope so, seeing as I wrote these poems only a day apart.
