He's just a dreamer...
That's all he'll ever be.
His heart and soul and mind
are always on the sea.

He just sits and dreams...
That's all he'll ever do.
Every generation has some.
Dreamers are nothing new.

He hasn't got much of anything.
At least that's how it seems.
Oh, but he has more than most
for he holds tightly to his dreams.

He sits on his front porch
making music with the wind.
He sings to the sunset
of places he's never been.

He sits and strums his guitar.
All the people stop and sigh.
They say 'There's the dreamer'
and they just pass him on by.

Very nicely written... I enjoyed.
Nothing wrong in dreaming... sometimes there is more reality in dreams than in our conscious lives...

Lost in a dream world eh? Well maybe he's where it's at while we're still looking. Dreamers are'nt all necessarily hopeless maybe there is a mental block there. Regardless it was a great subject for a good poem....

well dreaming is good. I love to set my mind free (without the use of drugs, incase anyone is wondering lol) and see where it can take me. a lovely poem, and tell him never to let go of his dreams.
