Navey Davey
~*Marge Tindal*~

No matter how tall he's become,
no matter how smart in his way,
I'll always remember the yesteryears,
where 'Navey Davey' played.

Pretending to be John Wayne,
quite seriously of course.
Watching his hero
ride off on a horse.

Full speed into this world.
Taking time to make a friend.
Keeping all the friends he made
through to the end.

The Dallas Cowboys were his love
from eight years old , until ...
Heroes of a forgotten time,
memories of Tom Landry linger still.

The knowledge he is bestowing,
I watch him now as he teaches,
Knowing that with wisdom
it's childrens lives he reaches.

He is the glue that binds the family.
Reaching out to all.
A special human being
this child that grew so tall.

Now with his special lady,
Kim, the love he's found,
I see the love he shares
as the love he gives comes around.

This mother's heart is warmed
by the memories etched in time.
The memories of 'Navey Davey'
will be a favorite of mine.

Tomorrow he joins hearts
with the love of his life
as he takes his lady
to be his loving wife.

From this mother's heart
I wish them nothing but love
for the marriage they join in
is blessed from above.

*A mom's reminisce for my son
who is marrying tomorrow.

Ahh Marge...what a lovely tribute to your son.  Congratulations to you and your family upon his marriage.  I wish them happiness.  You should definately show this to your "Navey Davey."

P.S. - An excellent name that you choose for your son - David, it's the most beautiful name for a man.  When I have kids and when I have a son, his name will be David, it means beloved in Hebrew you know.

Take care queen of all poets,

I don't understand. How old were you when you had him, Marge....six?

What a lucky man to find a wonderful woman for a wife and to have a mother like you. Please give him my heartiest congrats, Marge.
