On
line
off-center
middle of the road...
I miss the buzz
the hum of the city
the boys in drag were sweet
Sidney smelled so heavenly
wore tailored Gucci button down
and blue silk boxers,
(very well...)

Musicians,
my mates--
comrades of pain
and I smile now knowing
why drummers are always late
my eyes still see best
in darkness
and I know the secret handshake
(look closely)
see the flash of green?
I know the
smug protection
of being bouncer's pet...
The drinks that flowed
so steadily
for the price
of the dumb luck
of
being
me...

Now PTA
and civic meetings
where the ladies always
smile too wide
complimentary they think
remarking just how
eloquently
I can speak my mind...
(guess I clean up nicely...)

So we do lunch
and order salad
with croutons always
too damned big...
they get too silly
on white wine spritzers,
loosened tongues
drip curiousity,
--breathless--
amused like I'm a bug--
do tell us all about the road...
And I push my lettuce
around my plate--

I miss the meet
of eyes of friends...

I want so badly to go home....

Serenity,
I definitely know that feeling...
......
I miss the meet
of eyes of friends...

I want so badly to go home....
......
A bird might fly high
into the sky
Yet it will always,
its nest and its chirping ways.
..........
Many regards,
Sudhir

 It's amazing
How you make your face just like a wall
How you take your heart and turn it off
How I turn my head and you lose it all ...
And it's unnerving
(How one move just puts me by myself)
There you go just trusting someone else
(Now I know I put us both through hell) ...
I'm not sayin
That there was nothing wrong
(I just didn't think you'd ever get tired of me)
And I'm not sayin
(We ever had the right to hold on)
(I just didn't wanna let you get away from me)

im back did ya miss me *smile*
ya know i found myself thinking about this poem all day ...
seems I had to wear someone elses skin today and take a drive into the land of the "Haves" ... and I was there thinking bout those crutons...while I was tolerated by those processed smiles--
painted on fake tanned faces...and i just had to smile at the sweet irony...
cause for all that they have...
they are just as miserble in their skin as
us "Have Nots"

serenity...
This my dear is fantaistic! I almost don't even know what to
say. This has inspired me to write one of my own. Funny how we suddenly see that we're not what we used to be.
I like being me and I always try to be me. And if people don't like the me I am......
Well, they can Uhhh...well....you know!
I so much enjoyed this, Thank You!

Couldn't let this slide without thanking

JC---thank you much kindly...and of course,

sqirrel--what a compliment from you!  Two even---wait a sec--(serenity hugged her monitor)  thank you so much---followed your advice and wrote this one in my own voice...needs much structural improvement, but I do thank you for the great advice...

P.S.  THe drummer thing?  Well I was told on very good authority that it had a bit to do with needing the skins tightened....heh heh heh...

i remember those lushes nights of rowdy, serene, and the echo of it lasting in our nights eye. i miss those times all the days.
now surrounded by the panty hose gang, i never pay attention.
