wet ended kiss
detonated flashpots
hydraulic lifts

washed out candlelight
i waited, chasing
nametags & purpose

my birthstone is strawberry
i wear butterfly slippers to bed
they flutter in my dreams

did you move? i didn't move
there must be a happy ending
it's not as it seems

i love it when you lose

did you move? i didn't move
did you lose? i didn't see
i was looking at that palm tree

it's dead, it should be cut down
imagine holding its dried brown fronds
skirting away on the hot wind

i love it when you cry

would you wash out the stains?
stand gleaming in the rain?
it doesn't rain much here

a single worm in the darkness
tapered red fruit, pebbled with seed
which way should the arrows travel to point?

i want to anoint

god, the way she wears solace
mercy is not a game, a pain,
a prayer's chance in hell

god, the way she wears sorrow
god, the way she wears evening
god, the way she wears nothing

a minimum of hull
the dream must end here
(remove overwrap, underthings)

and I love when you write like this
god, when you write like this
I was so hoping one of these would pop up from you before I signed off for the nite ...
I smiled when one did ...
my heart smiled seeing another butterfly slipper line ... especially today,
and it just goes so well with the "strawberry memories"
thanks cool poet

Hey, walt. Glad you enjoyed the poem, and I'd love to have a brain pickin' session. I totally forgot to remove the icq property from my profile -- I'll do that now. I don't have icq any more; sorry about that.

Hey, B.S.

Glad you enjoyed the poem, and the line. That stanza was, of course, the one I tried to work into the Super Uber poem (untitled fantasy (without marshmallows)). I liked it too much to scrap it, so why not try again?

Talk with ya later,

Mike

S'en,
I believe if you're not persistent and willing to ride the triumphs and the failures equally, you're not going to live your dreams. Thanks for reading, as always.
