Well I'm back and had a wonderful time.

                  The return

The mountains cut the light to low.
The bombers stood straight in a row,
Stirring engines threw mist in flow,
That mixed with gray cold ice and snow.

I remember pain like nettles,
Skin held fast to ice cold metals.
The show of small green cockpit bright,
Aurora quivering colored light.

Time has sown a multi dome,
Time with fantasy as a comb.
Ever probing the shadows eye,
Ever dredging the past gone bye.

Lost happenings covered in snow,
Forever packed in ice below.
Sweet youth borrowed, lived, lost.
Sweet youth under perma frost.

And northern lights still play today,
Just as they did those yesterday.

Hey Seymour,
great to have you back. How was your trip???

great images, you have woven and knitted together here... was definitely worth waiting...

regards ,sudhir

My heart is pounding, my stomach's inside out
I'm feeling kind-a-shaky, my mind is full of doubt
All I ever think about, is fearing fear itself,
Wish I could unscrew my head and put it on the shelf
Everything is twisted, everything is oh so tight,
Don't know what I'm looking at, the lights are all too bright
My brain's about to crumble, spill out on the floor
Sweep 'em up. Throw 'em away, don't want 'em anymore
Clouds race across the sky, day turns into night,
Still there are the questions, no answers in sight
Everything is twisted, everything is oh so tight,
Starin' out the window, everything is just too bright
Brain's about to crumble, spill out on the floor,
Wish I could unscrew my head, and kick it out the door...
You know I'm feeling kind-a....Strange
You know I'm feeling kind-a....Strange

Welcome back Sir Tabin... Seems you've been to the colder parts of this world.  Liked the read, especially the last stanza... "sweet youth under perma frost." Yep! I do like that.  Mine is all under desert sand. Peace!

Welcome back Sy, I missed you! Wonderful writing. Some memories 'stick' more than others, don't they? It would be nice if it were only the warm ones, but I guess that's not reality.
