Two Women

Alone I sit to play
A game sometimes no one wins
I fear I love two women
Tell me lord is that a sin

Both of them they have me
Yet in such seperate ways
How did I get in this position
When I look back it's all a haze

One she shares my money
My time, my home, my life
The other, the keys to my heart and soul
Why can't she be my wife

They both own a part of me
To neither I can contend
Was not long ago I swore
Not to be here again

But my cards are on the table
It is too late to fold
Destiny holds the key
To what the future holds

Until then I will gamble
Till the game comes to an end
But still lies the question
Will I make the same decision
Again

~Yeah,...I read this now three times and it's a tough call.  I could go on and on but I'll spare you.  hehe.  This seems like it's straight from within though and I'd like to thank ya for having the courage to post it.  It's a great expression and well done. Take care...I do hope things work out for you. *Peace.

Wow! This really sounds familiar. It is a very hard decision and yes I would agree with the rest.  Follow your heart but make sure you see the whole picture before jumping in.  Sometimes the grass isn't always greener on the other side but then again you don't know, it may just be.  I loved your poem. Well done! Something I can really relate to in more then one way.
Hope to see alot more from you

You've expressed your feelings well here - Nice piece of work... As for content and theme - my suggestion, crass as it may seem, would be to envision yourself as one of those "two" you write of - How much would you enjoy being one of your counterparts?  Does that make your decisions any easier?

'as not long ago I swore
Not to be here again'

'Will I make the same decision
Again'

'A game sometimes no one wins'

'Alone I sit'

Welcome to Passions Mystical Nights!  Wow, what a first post ... so many questions, so few answers. The heart holds the decisions.  Hope you find the answers you seek.  You've expressed this very well!

Best wishes,
/Kit

MysticalNights~ Welcome! Sorry to say, I don't think anyone here has an answer for you.... it must come from your heart. Hard place to be in...... I hope it all works out for the best.   -SEA

Thank you all for your kind words and advice.  I have really enjoyed all the reading I have done here at passions, and it was you all that inspired me to want to try wirting poetry myself.  This is my first poem.  What a sad beginning.. LOL  But if not for a friend's persuasion, it would not be here.  So all the credit for the post goes out to her.  Thank you all again!  And yes...a very hard decision indeed...
