Gathering Us Poets Together

Last year we got together
had a blast just eight of us,
a cottage on the river front
sheltered all of us at night.
Scrabble was a highlight
as brains gathered words,
poets in one place laughing
through the hours of night.

Washington DC in daylight
gave us all such a thrill
so much to see never time
enough to catch everything.
So this year I am organizing
hoping I can be successful
gathering us poets together
for a weekend of socialization.

I have a post in announcements
giving two dates of possibility
depending on how many people
and schedules to work around.
It will be in Northern Virginia
just thirty miles outside of DC
a beautiful park with golfing
and nature trails full of deer.
