The Moon is Calling Your Name

The sky is ablaze, just for you, just for you
All the stars  have appeared just for you
They came out to reflect in the depth of your eyes
And to dance in their glittering blue

The moon has appeared crescent white, opal light
Hanging there, peering down throught the trees
It waits for the face it is longing to touch
With a soft prismed glow in the breeze

The samba is playing,, it is looking for you
As it lures you with songs that you love
It remembers the night that you danced with the stars
And the sky lit your hair from above

When the samba first played, you were radiant then
You enraptured the stars and the moon
Now in sorrow you care not to dance any more
And just dream in the dark of your room

The moon has been calling you name, dearest one
And the stars will fill teardrops with light
The samba is calling to dance once again
So come out now and sway through the night

The pain maybe lasts for a day, for a life
But the Samba, it never will die
And the stars will be there just for you, just for you
So come out now  and dance ‘neath the sky

Your face is the moonlight, your eyes are the stars
Let the world take a look at how lovely you are

Elizabeth, my friend~
The beauty of this poem
is captured in the full radiant glow
of the sunshine of your heart.

Come out into the moonlight ...
and dance your Samba'd sighs.

Beautiful !
Love you~

Oh Liz, this is a beautiful poem. I know this feeling well, feeling that the entire world must have been created for this person... great job.

I love the way this piece seems to dance! It's so beautiful, I am at a loss for words and can't seem to say anymore.

Always,

Elizabeth....you amaze me! I have never read a
poem from you that I didn't like. Though, I'm always
in such a rush I don't always have time to reply.
I think this has to be one of the best I've read!
The image that is etched in my mind will
never fade.
As always, you inspire me.
Absolutely beatiful!

Oh Elizabeth, what inspiration you give us, one and all...and what a hauntingly lovely masterpiece.  I am so glad I do not turn green [altho it is a lovely color on me] when I stand in awe of your many fine talents, for you paint such lovely tapestries in the name of love!

Dear Liz; Hauntingly romantic, but beneath is a profound sadness that lingers with the
memory of past moment of remembered joy.how beautifully you put it all together in such a poetic wonder. Ellie
