State of constant confusion!

0 posted 2000-06-14 12:40 PM

This is my answer to Lone Wolf's challenge to me. Thanks for the title LW.

My little boy left me a message
written in crayon blue
He drew a picture of our family
and signed it "I luv yoo"

I had never been more proud
than at that very moment in time
The colors of this families love
flow more freely than the sweetest wine

As I look around this house
at his artwork on our walls
I can't help but notice it's everywher
even up the stairs and down the hall

When I look in every room
I see all Crayola's hues
But, my mind keeps going back to the refrigerator
and his message in crayon blue

 All my love,
Jeffrey

I lie awake in a world filled with dreams,
but dreams can be so real when you don't know you're asleep

Awe....this is so sweet Jeffrey!
Sounds like my house all colored up with crayon.
Though, my son is not yet old enough to write
yet.
But he tells me he loves me all the time!
Beautiful!

Thanks y'all!!!

Lone Wolf issued this challenge to me about a month ago and I just couldn't find the inspiration to answer it until my 6 year old son left his message for me on our refrigerator. That was all it took

Glad you all enjoyed

This is simply wonderful Jeff.  It is amazing how their simple gestures can mean so much.

This was absolutely adorable Jeffrey, and glad the inspiration came right from your little one himself ... you could have wallpapered our whole house with just what was on the fridge!  Loved the poem Jeffrey, and loved the little memories it brought back! Thanks.

Best wishes,
/Kit
