Standing in an empty hall I take a final glance And force my mind to save it all Before my feet advance A silence that just lingers here Offers my mind to sing With voices that soon disappear After their echoing With every step I manage out I Leave something behind The ones I came to care about Treasures I came to find So badly I will miss them all Already it is clear Just standing in this empty hall At the end of the year The thought of leaving makes me sick My haste would be a crime How could the others leave so quick For me? ~If you are talking about what I think you are talking about....I felt the same way at that time in my life....It made me sad...I wanted to take my time too. After all that day in and day out so much of your life...I found it hard to walk away from...atleast as quickly as I saw others do. Great poem..Love it. If I'm way off you could either toss some nasty words my way or just let me take it where it took me. hehe. Wonderful poem Kevin. Take care. *Peace. |
