My heart skips a beat as I bring up my mail
Hoping she sent me something today
I smile when I see her name there
I can't wait to see what she'll say

I know it's crazy but I can't help myself
I cannot supress what I am feeling
She is gentle, so sensual, so open
Her words leave my heart and mind reeling

I love her humor, her passion, her vitality
She makes me feel so good it might be a sin
The more I know of her the more I become sure
If I am not careful I will fall in love again

I am not really sure I should allow myself
I know that I could, and God knows I want to
But if I get hurt again or i hurt her...
I'm all jumbled emotions, what shall I do?

Look in my eyes you can see my soul

Thoughts, thoughts, ponderings, ponderings....I see your head is full of them.     A word of advice from someone who once fell in love online, "Don't let your imagination run away with itself - keep it real, and take it slow, so you can enjoy every single minute of getting to know the "real" person, and not just the fantasy of who you "hope" they will be.  And for gosh sakes, don't wait an eternity to meet them in person, if you so wish.  I waited far too long - it did more harm than good.  No sense in dragging something on if that "magic" really isn't there...and you won't know it online, so DO it!     And sir.....good luck!     GOOD LUCK, I say!

Lovely thoughts btw, did I say that already?  LOL

Whoa!  Just (and I mean JUST!) went through this myself! Still in it, I guess.  You got the mix of emotions perfect.  The nervousness, the look forward, the fear, they're all there.
It does remind me of the old proverb:
"Don't walk, you may stumble...
   Don't live, you may die."
One step at a time, I suppose.
Well done!

Gen - Seeing as I respect and admire you so I believe I will take your advice and go for it. You are right the sooner I can look in her eyes the sooner I will know...

Kit - ty for the comments and the luck

Trew - Nice to know I'm not alone, and if it is the "one" what risk is not worth taking?

A_L - Not fall in love??? I guess I better learn to rise if I fall b/c I can't go through life loveless...

Oh Okc... I really know how you feel here, the love letters where every word she writes makes ya melt.  I am exceptionally lucky that the one that pens those words I have held and will hold and love very much... You should go for it, you have much to gain if it works!

Btw.. it's been a long time since I last saw you... Back in Open #1.. Love that Crusader Poem!

Corazon - thank you, it can be hard but in a way it can also be good to get to know someone before having any physical involvements. I don't know about you but if the physical is "all that" it is much easier to settle for someone whose personality really does not match well with yours...

Dusk Treader - Hey!!!!!!!!!!! Guess you do not go in Poetry for adults very often LOL I been there for awhile again now   Thank you for the encouragement... I am confident that we shall meet and I have faith that it will be everything I believe and more...
