It was
  and then thusly
created a quiet
   Connection
  In crowded nothing-space
     muddling through warring
   Wants
  of wanting to be wanted
     needing to know
       and pleasurable
   Understanding
           In the simple-ness of silence
         though not silence
       I can hear you
             Feel the delicate pinpricks
           of curiosity
               Dancing 'cross skin
                and seeming knowing
In the eyes of a stranger

                      Met mid-way
                Between two points of life
                    and past
                        Perceptions
                Knowing the unsaid
                                Thoughts
                Thinking the unspeakable
                        Left only to let slip
                A hollow
                             Sigh

               To float in distance
                  Dissipated
             Lost to for-never miles
               Wondering in after-musings
                           I can
                              cannot hear you
               Of wherefore and how
                    The knowing of
                  Peace in
             A garden of spring blooms
                Brushes of petals soft
          'pon willing open hands
ne'er blood drawn nor prick left
           from unseen stems
       and thorns hidden
        For a moment was peace
            albeit the small imperfection
     of a perfect friendship
marred with a single kiss

Ooohhh...but I do like this.....

"Feel the delicate pinpricks
   of curiousity..."

nicely put...and I must confess, this is a lesson I had to learn the hard way...(no pun intended?)

Satiate~
Absolutely awesome.

'For a moment was peace
            albeit the small imperfection
     of a perfect friendship
marred with a single kiss'

Beautiful, lady.

Been there, done that -- there is always a risk we take, no?  All the smiles and reassurances in the world can never repair the blow a friendship takes when it crosses "that" line ...

But then, without chances taken, there are no victories won -- so, the question becomes, at what price friendship...?

Somber questions, all.  And well-framed here, I might add, Madame Poetess ...

...

...

...

I'm...

speechless...

Nic, this, as lonely, sad, hopeless as it is, is the most enthralling poem I've read. It is definitely your best. I sit here in a mix of awe and wonder... sighing, smiling, then sighing again. It even brought a tear to my eye.

If there's power in words, you've proven it here.

serenity, ah yes, always a lesson, always a lesson.  Thank you dear.

Marge, Thank you so much, hun.

Kess, Life just seems to be a string of risks, and true...Nothing ventured, nothing gained.  In light of that, I think that when a friendship takes that kind of a blow - and grows in strength because of it...therein lies a true victory.  High compliment from you, thank you!

Chris, Your reply leaves me speechless.  I hope a very warm and sincere 'thank you' will suffice.

Mike, Thanks!

Breath-taking Satiate ... you've described this dilemma so well, your imagery is wonderful in this verse, and your ending, superb!

Best wishes,
/Kit

An amazing poem...just wow. Especially loved the last piece.

ne'er blood drawn nor prick left
           from unseen stems
