It's summer time, which means long hot days in the pool.
Days turn into evenings and the pool begins to chill.
"Bedtime!  Time to get out!"
A little boy runs to his father
"Daddy, I'm so cold!"
His father wraps him up in That Big Warm Towel
that's bigger than him.
As I watch the man hugging that towel with the head of a boy barely popping out,
It reminds me of my youth.
Reminds me that I never had this experience.
It makes me want to run to the man's arms and have him hug me too.
That Big Warm Towel,
How nice it would be...

Interesting poem...thoughtful and sad.

Nothing can deter a poet, for he is actuated by pure love. Who can predict his comings and goings? "Thoreau"

Torrie~
I think this is precious !
I know JUST what you mean ....
Oh, the hug of a fella with a towel ...
snuggling the warmth back into me !
Just a precious thought.
