Solo

again I type here

alone within my thoughts yet I
thirst crying these tears but there’s
not an ear to hear of how I want to
show this world my pain while

so sorry saying I really
should be on my
way but now

can't for
the life of
me sincerely
tell you how or
why I feel anymore
or let any see in side my
brain as there are so few who

understand me and know my tears and no
one enters my world no one sees these fears my
world is wavy my ocean is rough on the surface
yet beneath the waves are hidden torrents and

dreams without purposes most times it
looks smooth and crystal clear on
the veneer all though boiling
savagely beneath yes

under stand I
clear in
deed
the
seas
beneath
these wings.

If I could paint a portrait, of this life in which I've led, and somehow sketch a story, of the visions in my head, I'd start out with a canvas, stretched tightly in a frame, and in the bottom corner, I'd leave room to sign my name. (Michelle A. Bartley)

Lucky~
Well, it's about time you showed up, Mister !
I was ready to put out an APB on you !

A kind of a sad surfacing ...
I feel the pain in this, my friend.
I think you are the veneer you need to be -
to dive to the depths you have.
I have a true appreciation for your work, Dale.
Love and *HUGS* my friend.

Thanks Marge,

you know your one of my hero's too. Plus I have been rather busy working with Rosemary on the sights. This piece came from a movie RJ was watching, "Beaches" it moved me so much that I just had to write of it. It's been my first writing in daz.

Sending Love & prayers

You certainly shine thru your words and you may be alone in your thoughts from time to time, but you certainly do not fly solo...seems there's a certain poet by the name of Rosemary by your side and when you two spread your wings, nothing can stand in your way

Ruth,

Thanks so much for the email, is always nice to hear from you. Sorry I didn't get back on your reply. We too haven't had the time to post lately. Rosemary's computer had a major crash and she spent 5 or so hours or the tele with @home and still wasn't able to get it fixed. After I realized what was needed I did it in 3 min. She even got out of bed to see... can you believe that..!

Much Love,

Dale

As I read your work, I detect a rhythm, though not one confined to lines and meter, but more, an accentual cadence, if you will. It is I, feeling quite "lucky" to be allowed to indulge and live, for a moment, in the deepening of your words. Thank you.

We are two spirits grown deep in moist underground emotional earth; as the roots of two strong trees intertwined within an alien soil.

I remember when you wrote this first, about three years ago, when the movie "Beaches" meant so much to me.  It tugged tears from my heart to see your re-write of that one.  I like this version even better.  I know that movie brought out such feelings from our own lives for each of us. You speak of an anguish which was yours long ago, sparked by that film, and I care.

I just have to say this, my marvelous, and one-of-a-kind husband, but I believe your writing is completely unique.  Even though I know I am biased in my love for you, I have spent nearly half a century reading, reading, reading... and have never found any writer like you.  I consider myself an expert.

Your pain always cuts me to the heart.  And I am so blessed that you are so tender with mine.

With oceans of love, I remain
your most ardent fan,
your wife

Wonderful. A realy good read.

After all, what is reality anyway? Nothin' but a collective hunch.
