My Rose ~First Knight~ The day began its glory, With clouds of pure delight. Nothing in the forecast, Just sunshine till the night. And events came unseen, Known only to the few. Men of foreign lands, There was nothing you could do. They did not fit the profile, Of what you would expect. They had so many faults, and they never knew respect. They gave you all the hope, Of things they did not know. Liars to the core, They begged you to please "go." They led you on a path, One of pure deceit. Although you still did dream, You never felt complete. But you are the flower, That came from this pot of dirt. No matter how they failed you, No matter how you've hurt. You've risen above it all, Your a dream throughout the land. A pink and precious rose, to be nurtured by this man. It takes only a minute to get a crush on someone, an hour to like someone, a day to love someone, but it takes a lifetime to forget someone. |

Oh big freakin' sighs! This is beautiful, and I believe I must reread it, to grasp all of it's beauty! WOW...I like how you ended such a sad tale, with such a hopeful picture of growth and survival.
