The Real Me
Amy M. Kennedy

I've never shared all of me
With anyone but you
Others never really look at me and see
But you do

Expectations I'm expected to live by
But you have never tried to change my soul
I am so tired of the games, just want to cry
You never ask me to play some other role

You looked into my heart
No one has ever done that before
Always have right from the start
Fate has led us to this door

You know my dreams and fears
When the world is cold and I feel no one cares
You are there to catch my tears
Being the one person who is always there

I love you more than words can say
You know all about who I am, the real me
I want to share my life with you, each and everyday
You never push me for more, you just let me be

Others think they know me, they haven't a clue
They think they know what is best, try to push us apart
But no one has ever understood me like you
Don't they realize they are tearing out my heart

For you I will fight to the very end
You are worth more than this life could ever give
My broken heart you did mend
You got me to believe again, taught me how to live

Stay with me always, whatever you do
My soul would die if we ever fell apart
And if you want to know how much I love you
Just look straight into my heart

Because once you're there
It's up to you to make it happen."

I just need to get over,
I'm not angry, anymore

run when you run,
love when you love,
represent the ashes
that you leave behind

Love done at its best in this....  Oh how I would love for a woman I know to write something like this to me.  This is truly lovely Amy

It takes only a minute to get a crush on someone, an hour to like someone, a day to love someone, but it takes a lifetime to forget someone.
