As the phone rings, I pray to God that it is you.
I pick the phone up, putting it to my ear,
My heart is racing.
Then I hear your sweet voice,
The dull shadow that hung over me disappears….
As we talk u make me laugh,
I am so glad we are together,
The butterflies dance happily in my stomach,
As I say good bye, to reply with “I love you”,
My heart melts,
For I know you would never hurt me,
You hang up and I began to miss you.

Many nights I though about you,
Wondering if you could ever love me,
Imaging how it would feel to have you arms wrapped around me.

You are sweet and caring,
Loving and kind,
You make me happy,
Just glad to be alive.

I do not know what the future hold,
Or even how long our happiness will last,
Nevertheless, I do know one and that is
I love you.

This was sweet. I hope all the luck in the world falls your way.

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

I'm in love with my shadow
I admire it daily

I feel different than everyone else does from this poem... it somehow radiated a feeling of sorrow for me.  I wonder why it was?  Maybe it's because you talk about missing this person.  On the other hand, maybe I'm jealous of your writing skill.  ^_^
Great poem.  Try not to miss this person, when your thoughts are there, so shall he be.
Keep writing.

This is a beautiful love poem. Although we want love to last forever, it can be fleeting. It is still wonderful, though, even if it only lasts for an instant. Thanks for sharing.
