Yet again, the title is a work in progress..can ya help me? (NOTE: We didn't break up) I cry for more than what you know The moment you took your ring off my hand I just wanted to die right then and there I tried my hardest to keep the tears back But I couldn’t help it when I was back In the place in which it was slipped onto my finger You kept saying you loved me Which just made me cry harder I didn’t want to cry, I wanted to hold it in I didn’t want you to see me like that I hate for my tears to be public As I sit here I think… I didn’t ask for that ring You just slipped it on my hand Your ring symbolized our relationship Without it, it feels like we’re over People from the outside even think it is I know its not over, but that’s how it feels That ring was the only thing of you I had When they saw my tears and your ring was gone They thought our relationship was over I was so happy the day you slipped it on me And today when you took it off All I wanted to do was go home and die Why did you give it to me 4 months ago If you knew you were going to take it back? www.angelfire.com/wv2/poetrycorner I'm just a girl looking at a guy asking him to love me [This message has been edited by Tamma (edited 01-08-2001).] |
