I feel like I’ve lost my grip Everything I have held so dear has begun to slip I’m on the outside, looking in At my world crumbling around me, why’d I let this begin I skipped on church and forgot to pray Didn’t plan ahead, living life day to day Lost all my money and almost my girlfriend Don’t know how it started, but can’t wait for it to end These past few weeks have been a daze My whole holiday season has been in a haze All of the truth I have hidden with lies Life wasn’t normal it was another disguise Seeing myself through another’s eyes What I have become is what I despise I want to apologize to the people I’ve burned It won’t happen again, the lesson’s been learned It was fun for awhile, till I realized what I was doing It was fun for awhile, till I realized the people I was screwing My family, my friends, my girlfriend, ME Gonna reopen my eyes cause now I want to see Things weren't as bad as I made them sound. I guess I dramatized it for poetic effect, or something like that.NEways, I just wanted to say that everything is cool now. "Your anger is a gift"-Rage Against The Machine |

Poet on Acid- We might be coming from the same area, I'm not sure. I have read some of your's and it leaves me wondering if we are. LoveBug-It is sad when people can't find their way back from problems in life. This was a nice poem. Glad to know the things have blown over a bit. Good job on realizing that you were hurting others. A true sign of maturity.  I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust. I'm in love with my shadow I admire it daily |
