State of Despair

This poem has no relation to suicide. Enjoy.

"That Caliginous Day"

I contemplate what that caliginous day brings,
When my idle being slumbers among the soil.
Often I interpret the day; dusky as can be,
And people wearing grim uniforms of turmoil.

I’m confident they’d rather be in sunnier times,
But days come when someone rots to curtains.
Ambiguous thoughts of people’s utter concern,
Make me obligated to live; of this I’m certain.

They’re going to have to partake this time,
Because I’m weary of doing for other souls.
Fed up in this cycle of misconceptions,
Tell Mr. Reaper I am ready to go.

Another poem with a disclaimer... lol
I don't think it was neccessary.  I understand the feelings of a "caliginous day."  Great word, caliginous, BTW
Much enjoyed,

Yes, i have had those kinds of days before.  Not lately, though.  Having an inflated ego is great for the self esteem, you should all try it sometime.  ^_^
Thanks for sharing, Jeremy.  I enjoyed this poem.

I admire it daily

I so totally had to look "caliginous" up, but that's ok.  Great job on the poem Jeremy, awesome flow as usual.
