I know this poem is not as great as others in my past or on the boards here, but I wrote this at a time in my life when I was very much afraid. And to tell you the truth I still am afraid.

Though things are bad and you want to run away.
Though you fight for strength when all your strength does is decay.
When you look for a hiding place when there is none to be found.
When you want it all to stop but cant turn yourself around.

When you feel this little emptiness that pokes at you inside.
And all you want to do is smile but the smile seems to hide.
When fear builds up inside of  you until there’s no relief and after all
this happens hope and strength you seek.

You scream for help but no one seems to hear.
Its almost like no one knows your there.
You stare into blank space and shake with lasting fright.
You no longer have the will....You don’t have the will to fight.

Fear can be a source of strength-- if you learn how to conduct it properly.  Fight to end the fear.
Easier said than done, i know.
I enjoyed this poem.  Well done.

wow, that was good. Sometimes when people read poems like that and know that they aren't the only ones feeling those things it helps. Sometimes. Keep writing.

Welcome to Passions Mandi. A wonderful first post, I must say! I liked this one very much. I'm going to just say that Allan is right......fight to end the fear and whatever is accompanying it.
Ever heard of New Hamshire's motto that they have on their liscence plates?
"Live free or die"

Now that's true......whether is be from the british, or fear.......free yourself.

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

I'm in love with my shadow
I admire it daily

dopey, I am happy you enjoyed my poem and thank you for the welcome as well as the motto. I'll try to "free" myself. If that's possible.

Lakewater, thank you for the welcome you have given me. Very much appreciated
