They say happiness awaits, Is that so?... we all proclaim, Sometimes it seems so doubtful, When only anguish is too near. But one day you can wake up, and face the world anew, Live the life your destined, Sunshine peeking through the grey. |

Hopefully the happiness arrives....no matter how or when.......hopefully it just inevitably comes.  I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust. I'm in love with my shadow I admire it daily |

Positive poetry is a rarity these days. I find it difficult to be artistic and positive at the same time. You did it rather well, though. Reading this actually made me feel a little better about what the future may hold. Anguish can be good, if you see what it makes you really look at. Take a look at what you truly love when you are feeling down. It may not be there with you, but at least you truly do have something to love, right? Very nicely written, Jenn. I look forward to seeing more of your work. |
