State of Despair

This poem is about daydreaming and getting away from any work or stress you may have. Enjoy

"Fictitious Visit"

In demand of a daydream, right about now,
Irksome labor pressures upon my brow,
May I ache of bliss, not of this fatigue,
And dream about the sea's many leagues,

Intoxicated with joy, I shall fall asleep,
Bother me not while I’m counting sheep,
Drifting away, to my far-off rainbow land,
It’s glorious all day, isn’t that so grand,

When I rise, I won’t ask what I passed,
Moments of oblivion keep my life massed,
Getting aside sometimes, helps me to cope,
Especially when my land’s air, is full of hope

So as I rest, think not of throwing a word at me
But rather, put a head down to slumber dreamily

Nice poem, the flow was great and i really liked the theme. I often wish i could escape the stress...

I'm in love with my shadow
I admire it daily

I really liked this. Sometimes it is good to get away, even if it is only in your mind.

Doesn't it seem like school is the easiest place to daydream??  I guess most people just want to get away from it   Nice job on the poem, and keep dreaming everyone
