How the Winter Pleases

Snowflakes swirling to the ground
Dancing and fluttering about
Settling down in infinite billions
Their beauty one cannot doubt

Icicles suspended from white rooftops
Clear and shiny in form
Sparkling in the light of day
Another benefit of a storm

Snow-capped mountains distant
Gracefully blanketed hill nearby
Children get out their sleds to play
No sooner than the snow begins to fly

Glittery trees all dusted with snow
Dance and sway in brisk breezes
Harmoniously with the floating snowflakes
And this is how the winter pleases.

Hallie, NEW TOPIC.

Anyway the poem was a magical one. It put those cold shivers throughout my body. Not the warm fuzzies cuz this poem is cold. BRRRrrrrrrrrrrrr

I love winter, and I love your poem!  Nice job of capturing the season

Well... unlike lake I hate winter, but your poem is pretty good.  you make it sound not so bad... even though winter sucks in my opinion.  Anyway... I enjoyed.  Thanks for sharing
