Buried Thoughts

Sometimes I feel as though
My heart is frozen within me
Cold, lifeless, and empty

Is this because I can’t be loved?
Or is it I who can’t love?
How many chances for love have I unknowingly passed by?

I’m beginning to grow weary of love
I fear that every warm feeling
Will suddenly turn to pain, agony, strife

Is it me? Is there something wrong with me?
Or do I simply catch the bad fish in the sea?
And when will I catch a good one?

One day a man will come along
And the ice will begin to melt away, my heart revived
The emptiness I feel will perish

He will hold my heart in his strong, gentle hands
Warming it more with each passing moment
Protecting it for as long as he walks the earth and there on after.

He is my one true love…

*This is a very unusual style for me... it was more of an emotional outlet than a creative one *LOL* I was having some straaaaaange thoughts...*

I liked it alot. I have been going through the same feelings lately so I can totally relate. Sometimes it just seems to take forever and when it doesn't come you begin to wonder who's fault it really is. Very nice piece

"The course of true love never did run smooth"-Shakespeare

Love isn't easy, and there are time that I dread the idea of it. Love always has a way, though. Someday, it will work out for you. I love the hopeful tone you have at the end of this piece. Great thoughts, my friend.

You really tell your feelings well in this poem, I think you did a good job on it

Well i thought that your poem was great. Sometimes we just have to deflate all that excess hot air within ourselves. Some people jump on trampoleens......some people eat pie....and some write nice poems. Either way they're all fun things to do! Especially when you do them all at the same time hehe.
Ok anyway good joB!

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

I hate your socks. I'd like to burn them!
