(i haven't posted in a while and i don't expect a huge reply but i just wanna share w/everyone!!)

So many chains holding me down
if i break them will i be free?
or will i be left behind unknowing
left behind to wait and see.

Not knowing what lies ahead
i use my strength and break out
not wanting to stay in this hell
i escape only to be in doubt.

Self-inflicted wounds i leave
but they do not matter now
for i am free to fly away
from those chains i was tied to and bound.

Now i fly out of this raging place
up away i climb into the sky
i don't know if i am completely free
but i do know that i gave it a try.

Freedom and safety can't always co-exist, but freedom is always worth the risks. You describe this well. Thanks for posting!

This is a nice piece. I especially enjoyed the last two lines:
"i don't know if i am completely free
but i do know that i gave it a try."
Keep up the good work

i think this poem is amazing. I love how you got hurt from escaping and freeing yourself from the chains and you didn't care cuz you were free........and hell, maybe you didn't make it but you tried. I hope you made it though......

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

I hate your socks. I'd like to burn them!
