The pitter patter of the falling rain against the soft pale skin of her face.
The rain drops melting into tears as they slid down the curves of her rosy red cheeks.
Slipping down her chin and onto her jacket.
Skiing down the endless curves of the pale purple vinyl jacket.
Falling off the tip into the endless darkness of day.
Dropping to escape into the life of the ground.

A camera hanging ‘round her neck.
Hugging to her chest like a baby to a mother.
The strap tattered and worn, her fingers imprinted unto the handles of the camera.

Mascara dripping from her face creating black pools of sorrow underneath her mysterious pale blue eyes.

Shimmer blue eye shadow on the lids of her deep eyes.
Creating the effect of falling as you stared into them.

Sandals on her feet barely covering her worn toerippedsocks.
Once white but now faded to a wet gray.

Observant of everyone but unable to know herself.
Taking pictures of what she thought life was but hesitant to live it for herself.

He wore ripped cargo pants, faded dark green, but hinted of once being Forrest green.
A wet khaki colored shirt, reading abercrombie and fitch across the chest.

He wore a hat that looked as if it had been born with him.
Worn with age and love but also to a perfection.

He had a camera ‘round his neck, blowing with the wind and dripping with the rain.

His eyes were of dark green, deep dark daring green eyes.
With long black eyelashes that served as a holder for the falling rain.

Looking up at the crescent outlined moon,  they glanced at one another staring, and finding themselves lost within eachother’s eyes.

And with that second, the time it takes to preserve a scene with film, they blinked and turned on their way.

Brushing the rain off their faces and continuing on with their search to find themselves.
But with hesitation she stopped and turned completely unaware of what was just found.
For with in that second she had found him and he had found her.
In that dark night of rain and the early morning of fog.
For one second she had seen herself in his eyes.
For one second he had seen himself.
For one second, their journeys had seemed complete.

CareBear3: This is a terrific piece. I have been out of here for a while and I am glad that yours was the first piece that I came back to read. I can really feel so much emotion coming out of this poem.

I have just had an experience in a situation like this so I could seem to relate to this piece.

Either way, it was fantastic and you should be really proud of this.
