Have you noticed...
There's a coldness enveloping the whole world 'round
and you're stuck right in the middle
Have you completely forgotten what we found
in each other?
Could you be any more cold? Push me away a little
I'm getting closer than ever and that's too close for comfort
Would you mind slamming the door?
Maybe then I could finally walk away and ignore you.
Maybe I could pretend I don't care that you're crying,
I could say I don't feel the part of you that's been dying
I could even pretend I don't love you anymore...
I've never been good at pretending.

Push me away a little more.
It makes no difference, I'm not going anywhere
It's bad enough the whole world's turned to ice
and there's a chill in the air wherever I go
Like it's easy for me to watch you're heart become frozen
As if I could leave you when you need me the most...
Can you honestly say you don't need me?
There's still so much of you I need to know
And I'm staying until you can make it on your own, until I've broken the stone of your heart
I know you think things will only get worse
But what we have is worth enough to me
Bet you didn't know anyone loved you that much

If you'll let me, I'll break through the cold
If I'd let you, would you just hold me?
There's a sadness inside you I can't get passed
Until you decide to let me in
Don't you think it's time to move on?
There's a silence where your reply should have been
And a part of you is already gone.
You don't have to be alone.
There's a darkness taking over and I don't know why
But together we're stronger than the unknown
I know deep inside you feel it too
We'll get through tomorrow. You and I~
We can melt the world

Hey,
this poem is written very well, the beginning caught my attention well and it was held right until the end.  Great job

"We'll get through tomorrow. You and I~
We can melt the world" -- What a wonderful way to end a great piece of writing.  This is indeed impressive!

I liked the title. it caught my eye and a wonderful poem to go along with it!

Kandi~
I really believe that you will be able to get through to whoever this is for. I thought that this was a really good piece of work. Keep it up. This poem reminded me of a book that I wanted to finish. A real attention getter. Thanks for sharing it with us.
